And that revenue can add up.

Picture a tanker heading to the field. Instead of relying on a manure sample collected days ago, you know the estimated nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content of what you're applying as you're applying it.

No waiting for a lab. No probe sitting in the manure. No assuming today's load looks like the one you sampled last week.

That's the idea behind LWR's real-time NPK sensor.

Using microwave and RF sensing, the non-contact technology is being developed to continuously estimate N, P and K in manure and digestate. The goal is to put better nutrient information in producers' hands at the moment they can actually use it, helping make more confident application decisions and capture more value from nutrients already on the farm.

And apparently, we're not the only ones who think that's pretty cool.

LWR's NPK sensor was just named Water Monitoring Innovation of the Year in the 2026 AgTech Breakthrough Awards. The technology is currently being piloted in real-world agricultural applications, with early access planned for 2027.

Back in 2014, a Wisconsin dairy milking approximately 1,500 cows had a decision to make. The farm was growing, the manure volume was growing with it, and simply building more storage wasn't the answer they wanted.

They chose an LWR PLANT⁸⁵.

Fast forward more than a decade and the dairy now milks approximately 2,100 cows, recycles 25,000 gallons of processed water every day and has turned manure management into something much bigger than a storage solution.

Separating the solids has given the farm more control over phosphorus, allowing nutrients to be strategically moved to fields that need them. Recovered solids are further dried into a Class A biosolid and sold to surrounding farms, greenhouses and nurseries. The farm has also reported significant crop benefits from the recovered fertilizer, including increased plant size and production.

That's what we mean when we talk about doing MORE with manure.

One decision made more than a decade ago is still paying off today, supporting herd growth, recycling water, improving nutrient management, producing a marketable fertilizer and creating value from something the farm was already managing every day.

Manure was never the problem. It was a resource waiting to be put to work.

There is some encouraging news on both sides of the border for farms and companies investing in agricultural innovation.

For U.S. dairy producers, the latest Dairy Business Builder and Dairy Industry Impact grant round is now open. Eligible applicants can request up to $100,000 from each program, while Dairy Business Builder projects involving large equipment purchases may qualify for up to $150,000. Applications are open to eligible dairy farms and processors across 11 Midwest states and close September 30.

There's big news in Canada, too.

The Government of Canada has announced another $50 million for the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network, allowing CAAIN to launch new programming beginning this fall. CAAIN's mandate is closely tied to the things we care about at LWR, supporting innovation that makes Canadian agriculture more productive, profitable and sustainable.
